YSFRI participated in annual aquatic animal epidemic prevention system laboratory proficiency tests

The 2015 "annual aquatic animal epidemic prevention system laboratory proficiency tests", jointly organized and implemented by the Fisheries Bureau of Ministry of Agriculture and the National Fisheries Extension Center, was held during May – October, 2015. The mariculture biological disease control molecular pathology laboratory of Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, which is also the OIE (OIE) WSD and IHHN reference laboratory of the World Health Organization, undertook the spot syndrome and infectious hematopoietic necrosis and subcutaneous disease related tasks.

A total of 53 laboratories nationwide participated in the "white spot syndrome" ability test, and each of the units tested 6 blind samples. 38 laboratories participated in the "infectious necrosis of subcutaneous and hematopoietic organs" ability test, and each of the units tested 5 blind samples. The laboratories submitted a technical report summarizing the situation and results of the "white spot syndrome" and "infectious necrosis subcutaneous and hematopoietic organs " ability tests, with statistical analysis of the parameters measured in units; they also put forward the technical problems, proposed advice and suggestion relating to the tests.
